WHY AN INTEREST IN GLOBAL HEALTH?

As a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, global health has always been an interest of mine. I have found that volunteering in other countries with underserved populations to be an amazing way to help others and to see the world.

IF HFGH GOT A $1 MILLION DONATION, WHAT WOULD YOU SPEND IT ON?

I would spend the money on funding student medical service trips, primarily for those that would not otherwise be able to afford the travel expenses. I would also spend the money on public health projects for the indigenous people of Panama that HFGH works with, including: eco-stoves (to reduce exposure of indoor air pollution), concrete/wood floors (to reduce scabies infestations), and clean water projects (to reduce spread of waterborne illnesses).
